Terms & Conditions 

(Tango Manchester Academy )

These Terms & Conditions apply to all classes, workshops, milongas, festivals and events organised under Tango Manchester Academy, including:

  • TangoBar

  • Manchester POP UP

  • MamaMia

 

By attending or purchasing entry to any class or event organised by the above schools, you agree to the following terms.

1. Right of Admission

The right of admission is reserved. Tango Manchester Academy and its associated schools reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any person at their reasonable discretion, taking into account health, safety, security and the enjoyment of other participants.

2. Bookings, Payments & Refunds

All event and class bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.

If an event is cancelled by the organiser, a refund of the ticket fee will be offered. Tango Manchester Academy shall not be liable for any additional costs incurred, including but not limited to accommodation, transport, or other direct or indirect losses.

3. Participation & Personal Responsibility

You attend and participate at your own risk.

Tango Manchester Academy, TangoBar, Manchester POP UP and MamaMia shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury or accident sustained during classes or events.

By attending, you confirm that you are physically fit and healthy to participate in dance activities. Participation is undertaken at your own discretion and responsibility.

4. Behaviour & Conduct

To maintain a safe and enjoyable environment, we reserve the right to refuse entry or remove individuals for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Abusive, harassing, threatening or antisocial behaviour

  • Drunken or inappropriate conduct

  • Illness that may pose a risk to others

  • Carrying weapons or illegal substances

  • Unauthorised audio, video or photographic recording

  • Unauthorised teaching of other participants

  • Behaviour or dancing that compromises the safety or enjoyment of others

  • Unauthorised promotion, marketing or selling at events or in the immediate surroundings

We are committed to providing a respectful and inclusive tango environment.

5. Photography, Video & Media (GDPR Notice)

By attending any class or event organised by Tango Manchester Academy, including TangoBar, Manchester POP UP and MamaMia, you acknowledge that photography and/or video recording may take place.

Images and video captured by the organiser’s official photographers or videographers may be used for marketing, promotional, archival and social media purposes across digital platforms, including websites, newsletters and social media channels.

The lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in promoting tango activities and documenting community events.

If you prefer not to appear in organiser-controlled media, please inform the organiser before or during the event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request and, where feasible, avoid capturing or publishing identifiable images of you.

Please note that other attendees may independently take and share photographs or videos on their personal social media platforms. Such activity is outside the control and responsibility of Tango Manchester Academy and its associated schools.

Attendance at the event constitutes acknowledgement of the above.

6. Legal Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.​
